I'll be explaining about the entertainment districts in the busy shopping areas of Tokyo.



Shibuya Station
Entertainment district: The center of youth culture. Center-gai, Dogenzaka, 109, etc. are all packed with fashion, gourmet, and nightclubs.
Entertainment district: Sex shops and love hotels are scattered around the back of Dogenzaka and the Hyakken-dana area. The atmosphere is relatively casual.

Shinjuku Station
Downtown area: One of the largest downtown areas in Japan. LUMINE, Isetan, Kabukicho and other places are all gathered here, and it is lively day and night.
Red-light district: Kabukicho is famous. Host clubs, cabarets, sex establishments, love hotels, etc. are concentrated here. Golden-gai and Omoide Yokocho are also popular for their deep atmosphere.

Ikebukuro Station
Downtown area: The east exit is Sunshine City, and the west exit is the direction of Rikkyo University, so it has a calm atmosphere. Anime and Otome Road are also famous.
Red-light district: There are many sex establishments in the east exit area. There are also many love hotels, and the area has a relatively strong focus on cost performance. There are services for women as well as men.

Ueno Station
Downtown area: A tourist and shopping area with Ameyoko, Ueno Park, the zoo and museums.
Red-light district: A red-light district with a Showa-era atmosphere. There are many long-established soap and pink salons on the Okachimachi side.

Uguisudani Station
Downtown area: A more “underground” area than a tourist spot. Local izakaya pubs and love hotels stand out.
Red-light district: Love hotels are concentrated around the station, and there are also scattered soaplands and dating cafes. It gives the impression of being aimed at professionals.

Gotanda Station
Downtown area: A mixture of business and drinking districts. There are plenty of restaurants in front of the station.
Red-light district: A wide variety of establishments, including soaplands and image clubs. There are many of these establishments in the west exit area, but there are also an increasing number of places that women can also enter.


Kichijoji Station
Downtown area: A regular on the list of places where people want to live. There are many parks, cafes and stylish general stores.
Red-light district: There is no large-scale red-light district, but there are small-scale red-light shops and love hotels scattered around the station area.

Nakano Station
Downtown area: Nakano Broadway is famous. It is popular with people who like subculture. There is also a rich selection of drinking establishments.
Red-light district: There are not many sex shops, but there are pink-type massage parlors, etc.
